Q. DO I HAVE TO SCHEDULE MY VEHICLE/FREIGHT TRANSPORT IN ADVANCE?
A. It definitely helps if you call ahead to schedule your shipment with us. If we have lead time planning for your shipment we can work within your schedule to ensure we meet your pickup and delivery time frames.
Please Note: Shipping and delivery dates are estimated dates, as delays can happen for a variety of reasons. If you need a special request, such as a dedicated truck please contact us.
Q. HOW LONG IS THE TRANSPORTATION PROCESS?
A. On average it takes one to ten days for your shipment to be picked up. Delivery timeframe is based on the distance from pick up to delivery location, other deliveries on the same route, holidays, weather, etc.
Q. HOW WILL MY SHIPMENT BE PICKED UP AND DELIVERED?
A. We will arrange pickup and delivery that best fits your needs. However, due to the size of the car carriers, residential streets may not work due to maneuverability constraints. In these cases, we ask that you meet the driver in a place that has adequate room for truck travel. A large open area such as a parking lot is usually a great option. Your representative will discuss these options with you during the quoting process.
Q. WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
A. We accept multiple payment methods, such as debit or credit card. We also accept Afterpay and electronic payments such as Venmo and Zelle.
Q. IS YOUR SERVICE DOOR TO DOOR?
A. We offer door to door service, or as close as possible pending any location constraints.
Q. HOW CAN I GET A QUOTE?
A. You can request a quote via our website, email, or by giving us a call.
Q. CAN I INCLUDE PERSONAL ITEMS WITH MY SHIPMENT?
A. We advise against packing personal items with your shipment because of safety reasons. There is no insurance for personal items during transport. Transporters can be fined by the DOT for carrying household products. Only moving companies have a license to transport household goods.
Q. IS MY SHIPMENT INSURED DURING TRANSPORT?
A. Yes, your shipment will be covered by the carrier’s cargo insurance per FMCSA requirements.
Q. DOES TRU LOGISTICS OFFER DISCOUNTS?
A. We offer discounts to essential workers, military members, seniors and educators. ID required at booking.
